5 arrested after end to long term drug investigation

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force have ended a long term narcotics investigation after receiving information about a suspected heroin and fentanyl drug ring inside Miller County. On 06/04/2018, as part of the drug ring investigation a person of interest was identified which led to a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Stefanie Cavanaugh. Officers searched the vehicle and found suspected heroin in Ms. Cavanaugh’s possession. Ms. Cavanaugh was taken into custody. Ms. Cavanaugh is being held on a $50,000 class C felony bond for delivery of a controlled substance.  In the evening hours on 06/04/2018, the Miller County Sheriff’s Office along with the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 794 S. Eastview in Eldon. During the search warrant officers found suspected methamphetamine and heroin in the residence and on multiple suspects.  Kathryn Wilson was taken into custody and is being held on a $25,000 dollar bond for class D felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Lenita Ginger was taken into custody and is being held on a $50,000 dollar bond for a class C felony, delivery of a controlled substance. Edgar Walters was taken into custody and is being held on a $25,000 dollar bond for class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Jeffery Moad was taken into custody and is being held on a $25,000 dollar bond for class D felony possession of a controlled substance. A search of Todd Ginger’s bedroom was conducted and during the search suspected methamphetamine was found along with drug paraphernalia that indicated the distribution and selling of narcotics. Todd Ginger is being charged with a class C felony delivery of controlled substance. Todd Ginger is not in custody and information on his location should be directed to the Miller County Sheriff’s Office.
